A good health and care service depends on the service using available knowledge and experience and that new knowledge is taken into use at the same time that outdated practice ceases. Helseplattformen's goal is to reduce variation. Variation can be reduced by having the same, updated procedures in more levels of the health service. The specialised procedure library will include knowledge-based and updated procedures for use by health personnel. The entire system will be operated by the tenderer, including, amongst other things, quality assurance, updating and illustration of procedures, guidance and user support for users, as well as system development and system support.
