Description:
Biomolecular laser scanner

The Leibniz Center for Agricultural Landscape Research (ZALF) in Müncheberg wants to strengthen international cooperation and third-party funding in the agricultural and environmental sectors. To expand research and analysis capacities, the working group “Isotope Biogeochemistry and Gas Flows” of program area 1 of ZALF is planning to purchase a laser scanner for our radionuclide laboratory to detect radioactive signals from plant and soil samples by means of phosphorus imaging.

The aim is to procure a laser scanner for detecting radioactive signals from plant and soil samples by means of phosphorus imaging, which should have the performance characteristics (minimum requirements) listed in the service description.

A laser scanner for detecting radioactive signals from plant and soil samples by means of phosphorus imaging is to be procured, which should have the following performance features (minimum requirements):

specifications

-Scanning area of 35 x 43 cm

-compatibility with free analysis software

-Option to expand with additional laser wavelengths and corresponding emission filters

-Selectable pixel size from 10, 25, 50, 100, 200 microns

-Detection limit of 0.00518 microcl/g

-Option of using magnetic screens and thus direct scanning without a glass plate between imaging plate and scanning optics

-The imaging plate must not be pulled into the scanner during the scanning process in order to avoid possible scratching of the imaging plates during the scanning process

The biomolecular laser scanning system is intended to enable the detection and quantification of radioactive signals with a laser with a wavelength of 635 nm.
