The scope of the contract is the provision of hosting, maintenance and support of CEPOL's open source Web platform (police education and learning).

CEPOL's Web platform is based on open source operating system, applications and databases. It comprises 6 different applications.

The main services will include:

— managed hosting on dedicated servers in a controlled environment with 24/7 support availability,

— maintenance, administration and support of the open source OS, applications and databases of the platform (including but not limited to upgrading, updating and patch management).

These services will be provided on a fixed price basis. The dedicated servers must be situated within the EU Member States.

The contractor may also be asked to provide on request a range of additional services, such as:

— PHP/MySQL database development,

— Web design/user interface design,

— system engineering.

These additional services will be provided on a time and means basis (e.g. hourly rates).
