The recyclable materials collection scheme includes about 2.1 million annual empties.

The task includes a transitional period as a result of Waste Heat Aarhus Recycling P/S in the period from 7 August 2023 to 30 November 2023 introducing a new waste system. This implies that, during the period from the start of contract on 1 October 2023 and until 30 November 2023, the carrier will partially continue the existing system for collecting reusable materials and the new system for collecting reusable materials.

The collection area includes households (year-round residences (including floor homes, holiday homes and colonial gardens) and municipal institutions in Aarhus Municipality, covered by the Aarhus Municipality Regulation for household waste. The collection area may also include businesses.
