In this submission, the Competence Center for Biocatalysis (CCBIO), in collaboration with the Institute of Chemistry and Biotechnology (ICBT) ZHAW, announces an automated enzyme engineering platform.

The objective of the call for tender is to acquire an integrated platform for the high-throughput screening of enzyme libraries to identify enzyme variants that efficiently perform selected chemical transformations. The system should therefore be capable of fully automatically picking colonies of microorganisms from an agar plate, cultivating the microorganisms, performing the appropriate biotransformation and preparing the screening of the biocatalytic reactions (product formation) via HPLC / GC or by means of a chromophore-based Perform assays.
