Rundfunk Berlin-Brandenburg (rbb) is planning measures to modernize its air conditioning and refrigeration systems at the Berlin Masurenallee location in the energy supply technology sector. The rbb operates an extensive cold water system for climate control requirements at the site. For reasons of efficiency, due to the age of the plants, it is planned to modernize the plant.

The chiller 3 is to be replaced by a modern, multi-stage controllable machine. Furthermore, a cold storage to be installed between the chillers and the cold water network for hydraulic separation. The supply pumps for the piping circuit between chillers and cold storage must be replaced. In the secondary piping circuit, 2 redundant 110d energy-optimized supply pumps are to be installed for the circuits in the FSZ skyscraper, FSZ low-floor building as well as HdR. The necessary measuring and control technology must also be renewed and connected to the central control room in the energy center. The conversion is only possible successively so that the site can be supplied with a sufficient amount of cold at all times. Therefore, first the new cold distribution and the cold storage
