Therefore, the maintenance of the gardens is divided between areas of direct competence (municipal workers) and competence in the contract (external firm), with a clear prevalence of the latter.
The green areas under contract are around seventy and range from very small dimensions (eg Mondagli square 60 square meters) to large areas (eg Tapparelli park 27 750 square meters).
In summary, the services required are the following:
1. grass cutting (differentiated by type of area); cleaning, pruning and trimming of hedges and shrubs and pruning of trees as calculated;
2. laying of «hanging» geraniums on artistic IP poles (40 poles and 120 plants);

4. manual watering of various planters and geraniums on artistic poles;
5. cleaning of the streets and removal of deciduous foliage in the autumn - winter period, in collaboration with the contractor company of the city solid waste collection service;
6. breakdown and treatment of any diseases that may develop on plants with pesticides having adequate active principles of ornamental plants (endotherapy);
7. sowing and fertilizing (once a year) of all the weekly areas and mowing docks as per the calculation;
8. cleaning of tree trunks up to 3 meters or up to the first branch;
9. accommodation (reconstruction over 5 years) and routine maintenance of irrigation systems with replacement of faulty sprinklers (including commissioning and unloading).
As for the grass cuts, it should be noted that the areas have been divided as follows:
1. weekly cut areas (about 34 cuts),
2. fortnightly cut areas (about 17 cuts),
3. areas with cut to reach average grass height 15 cm (about 10 cuts),
4. areas with cut to reach average grass height 30 cm (about 5 cuts).
