The present procurement concerns the provision of laboratory services for analyses of soil samples collected across Europe in the context of the LUCAS 2015 soil component.

The contract will be implemented in 2 stages:

The main tasks to be performed by the contractor under stage 1 cover:

1. transportation of soil samples from the premises of the Joint Research Centre (JRC) in Ispra VA, Italy to the contractor's facilities and reception of samples in the laboratory;

2. analyses and other related services:

— drying (if necessary) and preparing the samples for analysis,

— storage of the soil samples before the analyses are carried out,

— analysis (mainly physical/chemical analysis) of the soil samples,

— packing, storage and conservation of the analysed soil samples until the completion of the analyses of all soil samples,

— data verification, validation and registration.

The main task to be performed by the contractor under stage 2 covers the return of residual soil samples to the JRC Ispra. Also, a guarantee period is included in stage 2 of the contract.
