Norges idrettshøgskole (NIH) shall enter into a contract for a framework agreement for handling subscriptions and the procurement of foreign periodicals with a service provider.

As a scientific university college, NIH has a national responsibility for education, research and communication within sports science subjects. NIH was established in 1968 and currently has approximately 220 employees and 1 500 students. NIH has extensive national and international networks and appears as a reputable partner in this network. NIH is organised in five professional divisions and provides profession and discipline focused bachelor and master degrees, as well as doctorate studies.

The library is organisationally located in the administration, as a section under the Department for Research and Library (AFB).

The periodicals shall also be available by remote access for the university college's employees and students. In addition, the periodicals shall be available for ‘walk-in-access’ in the library.
