The contracting authority in this contest is 5405 Vadsø Municipality.

The tender contest is for the collection, transport, and treatment of household waste in Vadsø Municipality, as well as the municipality's own commercial waste. The methods that will be used for collection/treatment must be clearly stated in the submitted tender. Tenderers must commit to treating the collected waste in accordance with all directions imposed by public authorities. Collection must be carried out at the same intervals as the current collections. The collection calendar for the current refuse collection scheme can be found in the appendix.

Statistics for 2021 show that household waste and municipal commercial waste amounts to 2360 tonnes and 150 tonnes waste respectively. The waste comes from emptying approx. 2450 household containers and waste handed in at the environment station. This volume will vary from year to year, but it gives an estimate of the expected annual volume throughout the contract period. Vadsø Municipality is not bound by the estimated volume, and variations in volume must be expected.

Note that the existing sanitation service provider also handles commercial waste form businesses in the municipality. The contracting authority has no legal obligations in relation to the collection and disposal of business waste from businesses in the municipality. The contracting authority finds it important that the municipality’s industry and commerce is offered a waste disposal service at the municipality’s environment station. The tenderer is therefore obliged to collect waste from industry and commerce from the environment station.
