Construction of the excavation pit for the new construction of the Essen Borbeck indoor swimming pool

The sports and swimming pool companies Essen intend to build a new indoor swimming pool on the site of the current sports hall including changing rooms.

For this purpose, the sports pool hall and changing rooms will be demolished in advance. Subsequently, the excavation pit for the planned new building will have to be excavated. The soil must be stored in small parts and disposed of directly over a large area. There are many polluted soils here, landfill class III and IV. Appropriate safety measures must be observed. It is also necessary to build construction roads. The excavation of the excavation pit is accompanied by the explosive ordnance clearance service.

The excavation pit to be built must be secured all around with a sheet pile wall shoring (trapezoidal sheet metal profiles) (without rear anchoring). Furthermore, it is necessary to create a closed dewatering system in the form of a ring drainage on the inside of the excavation pit for shoring with vacuum lances.
