Mälardalen University procures framework agreements regarding sign language interpreters as well as writing interpreters for students admitted at Mälardalen University in Västerås and Eskilstuna.

Extent

The mission involves sign-language interpreting lectures, group exercises and more, mainly in Swedish but also in English. The mission also includes necessary preparation work and loading. Two interpreters are usually required for an individual assignment and student.

Tenders shall be submitted for a complete sign language interpreter intermediation including coordination/scheduling and other administrative work required for the fulfilment of the intermediary.

The number of students in need of sign language interpretation varies over the years and it is right after the admissions message is ready for the semester that one knows what it will look like for the next year/year.

MDH procues a framework agreement regarding sign language interpretation for undergraduate, advanced, and graduate level students; from Swedish and English to Swedish Sign Language and the other way around.

The mission may also include write interpretation.

There should be an opportunity to call out subtitling.

The mission involves sign language interpretation at lectures, seminars, laborations, excursions, group work, study visits, examinations, VFU as well as in teaching done through digital platforms.
