The contract includes assignments for winter operations, with functional responsibility for some of the assignments, for county roads and county foot/cycle paths with accompanying side plants, side areas, equipment and installations in Frøya municipality in Trøndelag County, in accordance with the road list given in chapter D2-V1.

The work will be settled by round sum for round sum processes, in accordance with amounts and unit prices for other processes such as daywork in accordance with the hourly rates for crew and machines. The contract period is from 1.9.2019 to 31.8.2024 for all of the described assignments. The contracting authority has an option to extend the contract for 12 months, from 1.9.2024 until 31.8.2025.

The road network included in the contract (including arms and ramps) consists of:

— 102 093 km roads in total of which 94 038 km county roads Trøndelag,

— 8 055 km county foot/cycle paths Trøndelag.

The traffic on the road network varies from approximately ADT 40 to approximately ADT 2 000 and an annual traffic growth of approximately 1,5 % is anticipated.

The assignment mainly comprises routine operational assignments for the road network. The assignment also consists of inspecting and registering, planning the activity, stand-by for winter operations and general traffic flow, documentation, reporting to the builder, information to the public and handling other assignments that are necessary for the operation and maintenance of the road network.

The other assignments for operational and maintenance that are usually included in an operational contract, shall be executed in the so called "year-round operation contract" 5002 Hitra, Frøya, Hemne, Snillfjord 2019–2024 for the contractual area that includes roads in Snillfjord, Hemne, Frøya, Hitra as well as parts of Orkdal and Aure municipalities.
