Social City Gladbach & Westend - Project Management

The aim of project management is to accompany the project implementation in the measure by participating in tendering, submission, awarding of action support as well as monitoring, coordination and controlling for the planning and implementation of the structural building and civil engineering measures. In the planned construction projects, it represents an important interface between the specialist departments, the planners involved and the construction companies. A detailed overview of the type and scope of the task can be found in the "Service description". An overview of the content of the projects to be managed is provided by the Integrated Action and Development Concept, from which the individual measures emerge.

The central projects of the funding phase include:

- Redesign of Hindenburgstraße (according to the model of Karres en Brands) including Alter Markt, Kapuzinerstraße, Marktstieg, An der Stadtmauer and Sonnenhausplatz

- Upgrading of the STEP youth centre

- Redesign of Johann-Peter-Bölling-Platz

- Upgrading and conversion of the Westend youth clubhouse into a community centre

- Renovation and expansion of the Ernst Reuter sports facility
