NHS Arden and Greater East Midlands Commissioning Support Unit (NHS Arden and GEM CSU) on behalf of NHS Hardwick Clinical Commissioning Group (HCCG) acting as lead commissioner on behalf of the Derbyshire Clinical Commissioning Groups (including Erewash, Southern Derbyshire and North Derbyshire CCG's) invited bids from suitably qualified providers to deliver psychiatric intensive care unit beds for Derbyshire CCG.

Registered patients.

Previously Derbyshire CCG’s had not commission PICU provision within Derbyshire, instead they commissioned an enhanced care ward with DHcFT. Today, where a PICU Bed is needed, this is currently purchased primarily through private sector providers.

The key aims and objectives identified by the commissioners where to provide gender specific PICU services in or near Derbyshire, potentially in conjunction with other Regional CCG Commissioners.
