On behalf of England’s Connected Heartland 5G Innovation Region (ECH 5GIR), Oxfordshire County Council (OCC) will procure a Contract for a single Supplier to install and operate 5G mobile private network managed services for Rail Lines in the ECH region.
On behalf of England’s Connected Heartland 5G Innovation Region (ECH 5GIR), Oxfordshire County Council (OCC) will procure a Contract for a single Supplier to install and operate 5G mobile private network managed services for Rail Lines in the ECH region. The procurement will evaluate tenders based on the specification for a scenario deployment for the East West Rail Line (Bicester to Bletchley), with the possibility to extend the network to further locations during the term. The network will underpin a wide array of applications, from providing passenger Wi-Fi and Point of Sale applications, rail operations, real-time information services to support the technological needs of the rail line, and smart agricultural applications for trackside neighbours.
