Øvre Eiker municipality and Lier municipality intends to enter into a framework agreement for the delivery of residential furniture.
The agreement shall basically be used by the refugee service when housing new refugees, but it can also be used by other entities internally in the municipalities.
It is the municipality that is responsible for preparing flats for new residents. This means that the Refugee Service awards flats and furnishes them according to a given standard. The contract value for the number of new settlements can have major variations from year to year, as this will depend on how many refugees are housed each year, and how many flats must be prepared based on the composition of the group.
Øvre Eiker municipality shall, in accordance with request from IMDI [the Norwegian Directorate for Integration and Diversity], organise settlement of 75 refugees in 2023.
Lier municipality shall, in accordance with request from IMDI [the Norwegian Directorate for Integration and Diversity], organise settlement of 130 refugees in 2023.
