The subject matter of the contract is the maintenance of the database of information related to commercial designations of fisheries and aquaculture products (FAPs) marketed in the European Union and of the related information system for the dissemination of this information online on a dedicated web page. This service builds up on the database and information system which were developed in the framework of a pilot project. The pilot system must now be run on a permanent basis. The information system will be hosted by the European Commission. The maintenance covers content management and some developments aiming at improving the system to take into account needs for new or different functionalities as well as technological changes.

The European Commission, represented for the purposes of this call for tenders by the Directorate-General for Maritime Affairs and Fisheries, wishes to conclude a service contract for the maintenance of this database of information related to commercial designations of fisheries and aquaculture products (FAPs) marketed in the European Union and of the related information system for the dissemination of this information online on a dedicated web page.
