The AMDA I/II automatic meteorological data acquisition systems are to be replaced. The systems previously used in the full-time measuring fields of the German Weather Service consist of a central 19" control cabinet and corresponding junction boxes to which the sensors are connected. Each junction box is connected to the 19" control cabinet via a transmission medium.
The subject of this tender is the new measuring field components for 182 main stations, as well as a few additional stations and laboratory and test systems, so that the total number amounts to 200 sets of measuring field components including 4 prototypes. Spare parts worth around 13 fully equipped measuring fields are to be retrieved over the contract period.
The new area components consist of COTS (commercial-of-the-shelf) components that are installed in a junction box (sensor system junction boxes, intermediate junction boxes and area switch cabinets). There are also earth network cables for connecting sensor locations as well as required technical components and connection accessories. The measuring field components are to be delivered assembled and ready for installation. The installation on the measuring fields is completely taken over by the DWD personnel, including the cable cutting.
A framework contract with a term of five years (2022 - 2026) with extension options is planned for the delivery of the measuring field components.
The minimum purchase quantity (acceptance obligation) for the term of the contract is 200 sets in total. Each set includes the required technical components and connection accessories, earth network cables and test area switch cabinets.
Year 2023:4 sets of prototypes;
Year 2024:50 sets; year 2025:75 sets; year 2026:71 sets
