Description:

Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children NHS Foundation Trust wishes to purchase a low dose upright x-ray machine to image paediatric patients, specifically to undertake whole spine and leg length studies. We aim to purchase a x-ray machine that can reduce vertical distortion in imaging in with a large field of view, eliminating the need for digital stitching. The purchase of this equipment will also enable us to significantly reduce the radiation dose to the patient, compared to standard x-ray equipment.

We are looking to replace a Planar Xray room with a system that allows us to image paediatric patients with the lower dose possible. The xray room needs to have a capacity to image spine and leg lengths without stitching and with no vertical distortion. The room would be used for all general xray examinations, and ideally it would have the capacity to a wide variety of radiological examinations.
