This tender sets out GÉANT's requirement for an efficient suite of network analysis tools that can continuously monitor all the traffic flows on the network, providing real time information to the network engineering team and the NOC staff.

Network Analytical Systems provide operations staff with real-time visibility across the network as well as being able to support our engineers as they detect and isolate performance problems within applications or hardware across the entire GÉANT estate.

A Network Analytical System is required for Net Engineering to carry out in-depth analysis of backbone network traffic flows, including, but not only, advising member NRENs of their own use of the GÉANT network, and promptly and accurately answering any questions they may have.

Open tender to establish a Framework Agreement for provision of real time network analytic services with no on premise software or hardware requirement.

The resultant Framework Agreement is being competed by GÉANT for subsequent use by GÉANT and those NRENs listed in Section IV of this Contract Notice, as well as in Volume 3 of the Tender Documents.

The preferred commercial model is a Framework Agreement of up to 4 years, available to use by GEANT and any of the NRENs listed in the OJEU notice and Annex A. Call Off contracts awarded under the Framework will be able to run for up to 4-year terms, so the theoretical maximum terms could be a two terms of up to 4 years (8 years).
