The object of the assignment is to carry out the organization and administration of theoretical and practical exams with a view to obtaining proficiency certificates for inland shipping and thereby communicating the results to De Vlaamse Waterweg nv. The following exams are part of the assignment:

• The Community licenses (A and B)

• The additional certificate for the transport of passengers

• The Rhine patent and its expansion

• Proof of knowledge of river sections of the Rhine

• The radar patent

• The basic, chemical and gas ADN certificates

• The sailor statement

The services include:

- The organization, administration and scoring of theory exams with regard to inland navigation proficiency certificates, whereby the contractor provides the necessary infrastructure for administering the theory exams,

- Organizing and administering the practical exams with regard to certificates of inland navigation. Note that wherever possible De Vlaamse Waterweg nv provides the necessary infrastructure, in particular the inland navigation simulator LeNa for taking the practical exam radar and an inland navigation vessel for taking the practical sailor exam. However, Vlaamse Waterweg nv can ask the contractor to provide a ship for the sailor practical exam itself. The contractor informs the chairman of the examination committee of the exams and invites the members of the examination committee to attend and judge the exam,

- Checking the admission requirements of candidates,

- Communication with the examinees about the practical matters of the exam (location, time, course of the exam, ...) and results,

- Collecting the fees due to De Vlaamse Waterweg nv and transferring them to Vlaamse Waterweg nv,

- Establishing and managing the mutual communication and consultation structure between Vlaamse Waterweg nv and the contractor, whereby, among other things, communication is timely and correctly about the results of the exams and clear agreements are made about the planning.
