The Procurement Services of the City of Turku's Group Administration invites tenders to the City of Turku and other contracting entities mentioned in the invitation to tender for the literature to be procured for the period 1.1.2023 (target) - 31.12.2024, after which the contract can be extended on the original terms for two years by the client's decision.
It is a framework agreement for which a maximum of 5 suppliers are selected.
The estimated value of the procurement is approximately EUR 2,000,000 per year without commitment. The customer does not commit to a specific purchase quantity or value.
MAKING PURCHASES
The subscribers have access to an electronic service, the so-called electronic service. a procurement portal through which they access the literature available for selection, make selections and order materials. The portal compares the prices of each individual purchase and directs the order to the material provider that offers it at the lowest price at the time of ordering. The Subscriber places orders in smaller quantities also by e-mail and through the Supplier's online store.
LITERATURE TO BE ACQUIRED
The acquisition concerns domestic and foreign literature for libraries and other municipal/city offices according to the needs of the subscribers. The acquisition does not apply to textbooks purchased for preschool or educational institutions.
In domestic literature, in addition to general literature, the offer should include a wide range of productions of public organizations, educational institutions, various companies and associations and other small publishers.
In Swedish and English literature, we require extensive coverage of the material offered in terms of name quantity and content.
The offer must specify the number of novelty titles offered each year. The number of novelty titles for Finnish, English and Swedish literature must be at least in accordance with the annual number specified in the "Criteria for the subject of procurement" section of the invitation to tender. For literature in languages other than national, English and Swedish, an estimate of the annual number of novelties per language shall be provided.
If more than five (5) accepted tenders are received in the tendering process, the tenders will be compared according to the scope of the supply of novelty titles in the required language, as specified in the "Criteria for decision-making" section of the invitation to tender.
