The Ministry of Transport and Communications wishes to procure railway specialised consultancy in connection with the works with the railway reform project, as well as in connection with tender alterations for existing traffic agreements with passenger transport by railway.

There are several main areas included in the Railway Reform project works. The main areas in the railway reform project are:

1. Passenger transport by trains

2. Freight transport by trains

3. Operation and maintenance of the railway infrastructure

4. Organisation and management of the railway sector

A smaller part of the assignment includes providing assistance to the Railway section in the Ministry of Transport and Communications with railway specialised consultancy and socio-economic assistance in connection with assessments of e.g. tender improvements and investments/re-investments in new trains.
