The contract aims to acquire a translation management software system to replace the workflow management system currently in use, which has become obsolete, while adding new functionality and features which have become essential. Also, it aims to provide a translation management software system and its installation, configuration and customisation, the provision of all necessary documentation, and the provision of related services including system maintenance and support, consultancy (including further customisation), and training for the necessary profiles (system administrators, in-house trainers and support staff).
The licence acquired must allow for access to the translation management system by at least 500 named users. The ‘supplies’ section of the contract relating to the purchase, installation and initial configuration of the software will be valid for an initial term of 2 years, after which it may be tacitly renewed each year (2 + 1 + 1), thus running for a maximum of 4 years. The ‘services’ section (maintenance and support, training, consultancy (including customisation) will be valid for an initial term of 2 years, after which it may be tacitly renewed each year, without exceeding 10 years. Any renewal of the contract shall take place in accordance with the terms laid down in the contract.
