The existing Valderhaug and Skjong primary schools shall be merged. Giske municipality, henceforth referred to as the Awarding Authority, shall therefore construct a new primary school located at Valderøya. The school shall be a 1-7 grade school designed for 70 students per grade - total of 490 pupils. The school is designed so that it can be expanded to future capacity of 600 pupils.

The Awarding Authority invites to a tender competition for construction of the building which shall be executed as a general contract for construction works with coordinated technical contracts. The main contractor shall as a minimum have coordination responsibility for technical disciplines - transfer of contracts will be considered.

The gross area of the building is 8 967 m2. The works are expected to be initiated 10.12.2012. The school shall be in use within autumn 2014. The contracts are divided as follows:

E20 General contract for construction works.

E31 Pipe engineering works.

E36 Air treatment including automatic controls.

E40 Electro engineering works.

E62 Lift.
