The Norwegian Public Roads Administration shall construct a foot and cycle path between Straume and Sandeidet, Fv.540. The main objective of the contract is to establish sections of the main route for the foot and cycle path along Fv.540 Bjørgeveien The existing foot and cycle path is to be altered and expanded, so that pedestrians and cyclists are separated from each other.

In addition a new footbridge of approx. 110 metres shall be established over county road 540, by the outlet of Sælevatnet.

Some main elements in the contract:

Reception of approx. 180 000 m3 stone for a filling in Sælevatnet.

Demolition of 2 houses.

Development of approx. 1000 m foot and cycle path.

Alterations and improvements of Fv.540 at Sandeide

Construction of a footbridge, approx. 110 m with a cross section of approx. 4.3 m.

The expansion of the Sælenkanalen (Sælen channel), organised by Bergen Municipality.

The project will be implemented based on drafts.
