The purpose of this procurement is to cover the Norwegian Defence's need for spare parts, special tools and testing equipment, as well as overhauling components for the Leopard family. The Leopard family consists of both Leopard 1 and Leopard 2.

The contracting authority intends to enter into one or several framework agreements with several tenderers for the scope of delivery.
The procurement process is implemented in 2 stages as a tender contest with negotiations after a prior information notice, cf. FOSA §§ 4-2 (d) 5-1(1). The first stage is a pre-qualification of relevant candidates. Subsequently, pre-qualified candidates will receive the tender documentation and will be invited to submit a tender. The contracting authority reserves the right to reduce the number of qualified candidates.
