The general objective of the study is to systematically screen and assess all available smart specialisation strategies in the European Union, with a view to better understanding the approach to prioritisation, the extent to which the priorities in the strategies correspond to diversification opportunities, and how priorities are translated into the selection of projects.
The study will systematically screen and assess all available smart specialisation strategies in the European Union, with a view to better understanding the approach to prioritisation, the extent to which the priorities in the strategies correspond to diversification opportunities, and how priorities are translated into the selection of projects.
The study will collect information for each strategy based on a predetermined set of parameters. It will address for each strategy a set of questions. There shall be also a quantitative analysis and assessment of the complete set of strategies based on the common parameters collected for each strategy.
