Luleå University of Technology (LTU) has developed algorithms for path following for passenger cars and working vehicles. LTU also works on vehicle dynamics simulations and their associated tools. To rely on the simulation results, the models must be verified. LTU is therefore interested in a driving robot to verify and validate the vehicle dynamics simulations as well as further developing path following algorithms that also consider path following on surfaces with low coefficient of friction (e.g., ice and snow). The product must be a complete driving robot system, consisting of steering robot, pedal robot and positioning system.
