Description:
Research and development services applied to the automation, optimization, privacy, security and reliability of 6G networks

The purpose of this contract is the provision of Research and Development services in 6G technologies, within the framework of the Coordinated Project "Enablers for 6G: artificial intelligence, distributed ledger technologies and cybersecurity".

Applied research and development services on Artificial Intelligence technologies for their adaptation in intelligent and distributed 5G networks

The object of lot 1 consists of:

1) Identify the functional requirements necessary to integrate AI algorithms into intelligent and distributed 5G/6G platforms from the edge of the network to the cloud. In addition, key performance indicators (KPIs) expected to be met in all network segments will be properly identified.

2) Investigate distributed data management methods that support the AI algorithms developed in the project.

3) Research adaptive and incremental learning AI technologies that are able to adapt to frequent changes in the 5G/6G network.

4) Support the deployment and configuration of AI components (software and hardware) that will be part of the experimentation infrastructure used in the project.

5) Maximizing the impact of AI technologies studied in the project through participation in standardization and dissemination processes through scientific, industrial and commercial audiences, as well as contributing to important open source communities and standardization bodies, thus allowing synergies to be explored with other initiatives and projects.

Applied research and development services on zero-contact technologies for adaptation in intelligent and distributed 5G networks

The object of lot 2 consists of:

1) Identify the functional requirements necessary to integrate zero-touch management technologies into 5G/6G platforms. In addition, key performance indicators (KPIs) expected to be met in all network segments will be properly identified.

2) Investigate methods that enable the interconnection and discovery of resources offered by different devices of the 5G/6G network.

3) Research applied to orchestration using Zero-Touch technologies of the various computational processes of 5G/6G services.

4) Support the deployment and configuration of Zero-Touch components (software and hardware) that will be part of the experimentation infrastructure used in the project.

5) Maximization of the impact of the Zero-Touch technologies studied in the project through participation in standardization and dissemination processes through scientific, industrial and commercial audiences, as well as the contribution to important open source communities and standardization bodies, thus allowing to explore synergies with other initiatives and projects.

Applied research and development services on high-precision telemetry technologies for adaptation in intelligent and distributed 5G networks

The object of lot 3 consists of:

1) Identify the functional requirements necessary to integrate high-precision telemetry technologies into 5G/6G platforms. In addition, key performance indicators (KPIs) expected to be met in all network segments will be properly identified.

2) Research applied to the study and development of telemetry systems in 5G/6G networks.

3) Support the deployment and configuration of telemetry components (software and hardware) that will be part of the experimentation infrastructure used in the project.

4) Maximizing the impact of telemetry technologies studied in the project through participation in standardization and dissemination processes through scientific, industrial and commercial audiences, as well as contributing to important open source communities and standardization bodies, thus allowing synergies to be explored with other initiatives and projects.

Applied research and development services on high-performance security control technologies on Programmable Forwarding Planes for adaptation in intelligent 5G networks

The object of lot 4 consists of:

1) Identify technical requirements for the framework of the control mechanisms on Programmable Forwarding Plans developed in the project.

2) Research oriented to the practical aspects that must be taken into account when implementing security mechanisms on various types of network components with different reliability models.

3) Design and implementation of high performance security control mechanisms on Programmable Forwarding Plans.

4) Configure and deploy a test environment for the validation of cybersecurity technologies developed in the project.

5) Maximization of the impact of the cybersecurity technologies studied in the project through participation in standardization and dissemination processes through scientific, industrial and commercial audiences, as well as the contribution to important open source communities and standardization bodies, thus allowing synergies to be explored with other initiatives and projects.

Applied research and development services aimed at developing a reliability and privacy framework for adaptation in advanced 5G or 6G networks

The object of lot 5 is to:

1) Identify technical requirements for the reliability and privacy framework applied to advanced 5G or 6G networks, which will be developed in the project.

2) Identify technical requirements for the development of a reliability and privacy model applied to advanced 5G or 6G networks, which will be developed in the project.

3) Research applied to the design of a generalized reliability model for the reliability and privacy framework within the advanced 5G or 6G platform to be developed in the project.

4) Research applied to the design and implementation of a reliability environment between the different cybersecurity technologies studied in the project in order to guarantee the privacy and reliability of the communication systems of the 5G/6G network.

5) Configure and deploy a test environment for the validation of privacy and reliability technologies developed in the project.

6) Maximization of the impact of privacy and reliability technologies studied in the project through participation in standardization and dissemination processes through scientific, industrial and commercial audiences, as well as contribution to important open source communities and standardization bodies, thus allowing synergies to be explored with other initiatives and projects.

Applied research and development services aimed at ensuring the security of wireless communications of an advanced 5G or 6G network

The object of lot 6 consists of:

1) Identify the requirements that the wireless communication systems of an advanced 5G or 6G network have to meet to guarantee its security.

2) Research applied to the study of detection and characterization techniques of cyber attacks in advanced 5G or 6G networks.

3) Research applied to the management of cyber attacks aimed at advanced 5G or 6G networks, through the use of information from the radio spectrum.

4) Research applied to the design and development of security mechanisms oriented to advanced 5G or 6G wireless communications systems.

5) Validate the security mechanisms of the physical layer and configure in test environment to evaluate the performance of the technologies developed in the project.

6) Maximization of the impact of cybersecurity technologies using radio spectrum information studied in the project through participation in standardization and dissemination processes through scientific, industrial and commercial audiences, as well as the contribution to important open source communities and standardization bodies, thus allowing synergies to be explored with other initiatives and projects.

Applied research and development services aimed at the study of cyber attacks in advanced 5G or 6G networks

The object of lot 7 consists of:

1) Research applied to the study of cyber attacks in advanced 5G or 6G networks; with a focus on adopting best practices to mitigate cyber attacks.

2) Configure and deploy a test environment for the validation of the protection technologies against cyber attacks developed in the project.

3) Maximization of the impact of the protection technologies against cyber attacks studied in the project through participation in standardization and dissemination processes through scientific, industrial and commercial audiences, as well as the contribution to important open source communities and standardization bodies, thus allowing to explore synergies with other initiatives and projects.
