Within the framework of a tender, the UKR intends to award a contract for the development of an ITIL v4-compliant, adapted and comprehensive IT service management for the entire University Hospital Regensburg across all clinics and departments. The aim of the present tender is the introduction of an IT service management, as part of a future Enterprise Service Management (ESM), in order to meet the requirements of the defined digitization target image of the UKR. In particular, IT service management should contribute to the priorities set out in UKR's digital and IT transformation strategy.
A standardized, structured and tool-supported enterprise service management platform (with ITSM/ITIL process mode) forms the basis for increasing quality in IT service provision and at the same time promotes cost reduction. Standardized IT service processes are the essential lever for the effective provision of services by IT and serve to build a modern IT organization.
The Enterprise Service Management Tool (ESM) is used to define the policies, planning, execution, and management of IT service delivery. An ITSM solution should help UKR to develop and provide more efficient, standardized and effective IT services.
In addition, the ESM Tool is intended to generate a uniform and common IT Self Service Portal, which is available to end users around the clock for concerns, needs or disruptions. This dramatically shortens throughput times for end users and IT. In addition, IT staff can concentrate on the essentials and free up capacities that are relevant for IT projects or other further developments.
