Non-Emergency Patient Transport Services. Non-emergency PTS activity is typified by the non-urgent, planned transportation of patients, with a medical need for transport, to and from a health service provider and between health service providers. This covers a range of vehicles and levels of care, from cars with drivers who may have no clinical training, to minibuses or other vehicles with staff on board who have first aid/other clinical training to ambulance vehicles staffed with health care professionals.
