The National Army Museum (NAM) is undergoing a major refurbishment project which will see a radical transformation and is due to re-open in early 2017. The Museum will require an initial security presence at the Chelsea site from mid October 2016. Once reopened the Museum will require between 8 and 10 persons per day.
The Museum operates on the Chelsea site and at Stevenage. Both sites will require security staff on-site 24/7. A security contractor is required to provide an effective and efficient uniformed manned guarding service on a continuous basis.
The service includes, but is not confined to:
Control Room manning, alarm and CCTV monitoring;
Provision of staff for static and mobile posts;
Access control including public entrance duties and car parking;
Receipt of goods;
Emergency and evacuation duties;
Production of reports and documentation;
Other duties that may be mutually agreed from time-to-time.
Procurement will be via PQQ, which will short-list the potential suppliers to between 5 -7 suppliers, then ITT and interview. The tender board will consist of the staff of the National Army Museum.
