As part of the process, now in progress, of redevelopment of the sea front of the port of Palermo, this AdSP has planned to intervene also on the breakwater of the port of Arenella. This intervention aims to redevelop the infrastructure in order to promote environmental sustainability, better landscape insertion and usability for boaters. At present, the executive project is subject to environmental plant assessment (EIA). The completion of the tender procedure is conditional on the completion of this EIA procedure and therefore the AdSP will proceed to the transmission of the invitation letter only following the positive conclusion of the EIA procedure as well as verification and validation of the executive project, as a project placed on the basis of the tender on which the participants are invited to formulate the offer.

For the award of the works contract, taking into account the timing of the financing obtained, a restricted procedure is carried out pursuant to art. 61 of Legislative Decree. 50/2016, therefore any economic operator may submit a request to participate in response to this call for competition, providing the information necessary for the purposes of qualification. In any case, only economic operators invited by the contracting authority may submit tenders.
For the exact description of the works, please refer to the tender documentation. The contract is not divided into lots for unitary processing needs. The award criterion is that of the most economically advantageous tender, pursuant to art. 95 of Legislative Decree 50/2016.
The work is included in the Program of infrastructural interventions in the port area synergistic and complementary to the PNRR (National Recovery and Resilience Plan), approved by MIMS Decree no. 330 of 13.08.2021, and admitted to state funding from the resources of the Complementary Plan, pursuant to art. 1, co. 2, lett. c), of D.L. 59/2021, converted with modification by L. 101/2021. In relation to the works in question, Procedural Agreement no. 32174 of 04 November 2021 was signed between the MIMS and the MSO AdSP, approved by Decree of the Director General no. 390 of 17 November 2021.
