The object of the procurement is high- and very high-risk pressure ulcer mattresses that are suitable for home use. As a rule, mattresses are purchased by purchasing their own, but the possibility of renting mattresses is included in the purchase. The procurement also includes the necessary maintenance, repair and cleaning services, as well as spare parts and accessories.
The high- and very high-risk mattresses to be procured require maintenance and spare parts throughout their life cycle. The general service life of the assistive devices subject to competitive tendering is assumed to be at least 8 years. The need for maintenance and repair work and spare parts increases towards the end of the device's life cycle.
High and very high risk pressure ulcer mattresses are divided into two sections:
- variable pressure mattresses
- minimum pressure mattresses
This is a joint acquisition, the parties to which are described in this call for tender below. The abbreviation “subscriber” is used for the parties involved in this RFQ.
The contract period is two (2) years and can be extended with two (2) one (1) year options. The subscriber decides to deploy the option periods separately.

Variable pressure mattressesSection 1 targets high- and very high-risk pressure ulcer mattresses that are suitable for home use. As a rule, mattresses are purchased by purchasing their own, but the possibility of renting mattresses is included in the purchase. Mattresses are used, for example, in home care and care homes for patients on bed rest for the prevention and treatment of pressure ulcers.
A separate cleaning service or after-sales service can be purchased for the purchased mattress if necessary.
In addition, the subject matter of the procurement includes additional products / complementary products, the procurement volumes of which are estimated to be negligible. Additional products / complementary products include mattresses for heavy patients, as well as mattresses of non-standard sizes (mentioned in the invitation to tender). The provision of additional products/complementary products is not mandatory but may be included as contract products.
The goal of the procurement contract is to have a comprehensive range of necessary mattresses for the needs of patients.
The subscriber selects three (3) vendors for this section with which it contracts.

As a rule, mattresses are purchased by purchasing their own, but the possibility of renting mattresses is included in the purchase.
