Solihull Community Housing (SCH) is an Arms Length Management Organisation (ALMO) that was established in April 2004 to takeover the management of housing services on behalf of Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council (SMBC). The asset management team operates from an office and yard facility in Chelmsley Wood, Solihull which supports the delivery of their work. This facility is a registered waste transfer station. Waste is brought into the yard from the asset management Direct Labour Organisation (DLO), estate management team and Solihull Community Housing Contractors and includes but is not limited to, waste materials associated with building maintenance works, fly tipped waste and asbestos. SCH requires a contractor to remove and dispose of various waste items.
