The assignment includes the collection of garden waste at all homes, mixed-use housing and commercial properties, as well as municipal institutions in urban, rural, and summer areas, etc., who sign up for the scheme. The collection of garden waste must be organized as a fixed route collection.
In Vejle Municipality, garden waste must be collected from registered properties in urban, rural and cottage areas, as well as municipal institutions, all of which have the opportunity to register for the scheme.
The garden waste collection scheme is established as a route-based collection system with emptying / collection 13 times a year.
The collection scheme is, as a starting point, a dividing scheme with the option of pick-up at the site.
Garden waste includes:
- Loose garden waste in containers eg. leaves, grass and perennial clippings, smaller branches and small tree roots, hedge clippings and the like, deciduous fruit,
- Bundles of garden waste maximum 1 meter and 12 kg.,
- Loose Christmas trees (month of January).
Christmas trees can also be collected at a common gathering place in agreement with Vejle Municipality. The renovator must collect Christmas trees from these places in agreement with Vejle Municipality.
During the month of January, all households - whether they are registered with the collection scheme for garden waste or not - have the opportunity to collect Christmas trees in Vejle Municipality's collection scheme for large garbage.
Garden waste must be collected 13 times a year at registered households, municipal institutions and companies in mixed-use and commercial properties.
In cottage areas, garden waste must be collected 8 times during the period from 1 April to 30 September, however 13 times at registered year-round summer cottages.
The starting point is emptying every 4 weeks.
Garden waste must be collected an extra time in September.
No garden waste is to be collected in December.
In total buildings, WasteGenbrug can enter into special agreements for selected housing associations to have garden waste collected in containers every 14 days in a fixed route.
