The purpose of this invitation to tender is the procurement of the services necessary for the conduct of three oceanographic campaigns. Two of them, in two marine areas (banks and gorges of the Alboran Sea and east of the SCI marine space in the west and south of Lanzarote-Fuerteventura) to collect the necessary scientific information to determine whether its proposal for inclusion in the Natura 2000 Marine Network in Spain is necessary and, in that case, be used for the drafting of drafts of its future management plans, and a third (west of the Strait of Gibraltar) to gather up to date scientific information to enable the drafting of its management plan.

The object of lot 1 is the design and implementation of oceanic campaigns for the monitoring of cetaceans and sea turtles in the marine area formed by the banks and gorges of the Alboran Sea located between the SCI “south of Almería-Seco de los Olivos” and “Alboran marine space”, in an estimated area of 4,935 km2.

The object of lot 2 is the design and implementation of oceanic campaigns for the monitoring of cetaceans and sea turtles in the marine area west of the Strait of Gibraltar with the aim of designing the management, conservation and monitoring measures to be included in the SCI space management plan under declaration process. The estimated area is 1,039 km2.

The object of lot 3 is the design and implementation of oceanic campaigns for the monitoring of cetaceans and sea turtles east of the SCI “marine space in the east and south of Lanzarote-Fuerteventura”, in an estimated area of 10,715 km2.
