As part of the expansion of a neighboring facility, the location of the Rothenburg secondary school "Moritz Zimmermann" on Friedensstraße 124 and 124a, as well as the sports and multi-purpose hall Friedensstraße 136a will be abandoned. In an inner-city location, new buildings will replace the two current buildings in the north of the city area. Land on Uhsmannsdorfer Straße is already available as a new location for the two-pass high school (TO1) and the sports hall (TO2). A process for drawing up a development plan is currently being worked on.
It is planned to build a modern educational facility through the appropriate and sustainable combination of positive properties of the freely planned building substance and the progressive pedagogical approaches of the Rothenburg high school with the implementation of this new building measure. It is important to appropriately insert the buildings into the group of educational, support and sports hall facilities already available at the location. The aim is that the secondary school, as the largest institution, will shape this location architecturally in the future. It is important to act proportionately on the border to the enclosed urban redevelopment area, which clearly embodies the charm of a small town in rural areas.
Together with representatives of the school management, the teaching staff, the parents, the sports clubs, the city councils and the administration, an architectural firm worked on a concept study in 2018 as part of a so-called "phase 0". In addition to other urban buildings, for which replacement new buildings are also planned outside of this measure, this mainly focuses on explanations of the future high school and the sports and multi-purpose hall. This means that important information has already been collected and processed. It includes, among other things, the work status of a room book, a schematic planning concept and a rough cost calculation, which is based on the total costs of the measure i. H. v. approx. EUR 14 480 000.00 for high school, or i. H. v. approx. EUR 6 565 000.00 for the sports and multi-purpose hall. It is the basis for the following planning services.
The financing of the construction project is planned with the support of state funds from the "School Infrastructure" funding program of the Free State of Saxony. Two relevant applications have already been made and submitted for decision. The two sub-objects (TO) are to be considered and accounted for separately in terms of costs.
The completion of the construction project is announced for March 2024.
The client intends to award the following planning services: HOAI §39, LPH 1-9 for the planning "new high school and sports and multi-purpose hall Rothenburg / OL".
It is planned to award the basic services as well as the following special services:
- Notification of defects and monitoring of rectification of defects within the warranty period for the trades for which the contractor has monitored the execution.
The assignment is carried out in stages divided into individual service phases. The first step is to commission service phases 1-3. There is no legal claim to the transfer of all planned service phases. Likewise, there is no legal claim to further assignment after the first service phases have been provided. The gradual commissioning is subject to the promotion of the construction project and the proviso that the contractor guarantees the proper, qualitative and timely performance of the service.
