Bergen Vann is an agency in Bergen Municipality. The agency must ensure good and satisfactory water supply and good and environmentally correct sewage treatment.
Bergen Vann operates and manages the municipal water and sewage installations in Bergen Municipality, and operates the municipal water and sewage installations in Bjørnafjorden Municipality. The agency has approx. 265 employees and a turnover of approx. NOK 1.1 billion. The employees are currently localised in Spelhaugen 22, Fjøsangerveien 68, and at numerous water treatment and sewage treatment facilities. The Contracting Authority reserves the right to carry out supplier audits during the contract period.
The procurement involves the procurement of cleaning of piplines.
Bergen Vann will enter into a framework agreement for the cleaning of pipelines. The service will mainly be provided in Bergen municipality, but some services wil also be provided in Bjørnafjorden municipality. Some assignments may be carried out in collaboration with the contracting authority.
The service consists of:
- Reception, mixed sludge (mixed sludge can contain, for example, sewage sludge, grease, stone)
- Assignments with super suction (e.g.: culverts, fractures, rockfall, coal, hazardous waste)
- Assignments with combination vehicles (e.g.: flushing, cleaning and emptying of sludge, this may include: gravity sewers, sewage pumping stations, stone traps, pools, tanks)
- Landfill deposits, coal (emptying of coal filters and delivery to an approved reception centre). There are estimated to be 10-15 transports/year.
- Mark-up, delivery of hazardous waste (e.g. lye, sodium hypochlorite, polymer, ferric chloride, aluminium sulphate, oil-contaminated waste). There are estimated to be 5-10 transports/year.
HSE
Tenderers must always comply with Bergen Vann's HSE procedures. All those who work with sewage water must be vaccinated against: Tetanus, Polio, and Hepatitis A (Havrix). Any protection equipment must be covered by the tenderer.
