The university city of Tübingen intends to build an extension for upper school rooms and a canteen for the Hans Küng Community School. The canteen is to be available for the existing 3-speed community school and the primary school downtown (Silcherschule) and be multifunctional for the district. For this purpose, a new building is to be planned on Westbahnhofstraße west of the Hermann-Hepper-Halle.

The subject of the competition is services according to HOAI for the conception of an extension for the Community School West including the affiliated upper school.

The competition is offered as a one-stage, non-open implementation competition with an upstream selection procedure with 15 participants. The organizer selects 5 participants in advance. The procedure is anonymous.

Natural and legal persons who use the professional title of architect on the day of publication are eligible to participate.

The project is being developed within the framework of the Future Plan West, which provides for a new development of the Weststadt and defines goals for the area taking into account the overall urban context.

The aim of this implementation competition is to obtain a high-quality, economical and sustainable building for this location that responds appropriately and in high quality to the respective urban planning, functional and economic requirements. In doing so, the general conditions specified in the award must be taken into account.
