The purpose of this tender exercise is to select a service provider whose delivery of Lot 1 Endoscopy and Outpatient Services and Lot 2 Colorectal and General Surgery Outpatient Services will represent value for money, high quality service; combined with the ability to identify and implement service efficiencies across the Trust.

Digestive Diseases is terminology used to encompass the specialties of Gastroenterology and Colorectal and General Surgery.

The Gastroenterology Department provides Endoscopy Services for the Trust.

Lot 1 of the contract is to provide a component of the Trust’s Endoscopy Service by delivering an agreed volume of endoscopy activity as and when required along with outpatient clinic appointments.

Lot 2 of the contract is to provide a component of Colorectal and General Surgery outpatient clinics as and when required. This will include routine patients along with 2 week wait suspected cancer patients.
