Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust is a large acute 862 beded Trust. Consisting of 2 Hospitals, Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells. Providing a full range of general hospital services and specialist cancer care. The PFI hospital has been constructed on the existing Pembury Hospital site and provides all inpatient accommodation in single rooms making it the first NHS acute hospital of its kind in the UK

The Trust spend for 2012/2013 was approx £73k. This will be a 3 year contract with option to extend for a further 12 months. No guarantee can be given that this level of expenditure will be maintained over the time of the contract period.

The Trust would prefer to award this contract to one supplier if possible. This tender is to provide Fresh fruit and vegetables to both hospital sites.
