Safety cases. The Defence General Munitions Project Team (DGM PT) has under consideration a requirement for a Framework Contract for the provision of support to Safety and Environmental Case Reports (SECRs) for a range of munitions. It is anticipated that the Contract will run for a period of one year with options for up to a further three years.
The requirement for each task shall include attendance and minute taking at review meetings, researching the relevant safety and environmental material associated with each store, drafting amendments to safety case reports in accordance with review meeting minutes and to JSP520 format, producing a final up-issued copy of the SECR (in hard and soft copy), amending (where relevant) the Ships Explosive Store Safety Instruction (SEXSSI) and drafting OME submission letters in accordance with JSP520. This list of activities is not comprehensive; nor will all tasks necessarily require all of the listed activities. Reviews will vary in complexity with various review levels being described as “Light”, “Medium”, “Full (simple)”, and “Full (complex)”.
Interested parties should be familiar with the latest issue of JSP 520 and the latest DGM PT Safety and Environmental Management Plan (SEMP).
It is intended that the resulting Contract will consist of a firm requirement for 35 reviews and with a mechanism for adding additional tasks on an ad-hoc basis.
A copy of the Pre-Qualification Questionnaire detailing the criteria to be used to select suitable parties to be invited to tender is available on request.
