Tender for collection and disposal of household collected plastic and food and drink cartons 2023-2024

The service includes the collection and disposal of household collected plastic and food and drink cartons in REFA's area in the period from 1 May 2023 - 30 April 2024 with an option to extend until and including 31 December 2024. Please note that the household collection is currently expected to start at the end of April 2023, but there is a possibility that the start is postponed until the beginning of May 2023. REFA's collection will take place throughout the year and the collection will also take place on public holidays if these fall on the days of the week Monday - Friday. However, no collection is made on 25 December and 1 January, regardless of the days of the week. In addition to the household collection, citizens can also drop off the fraction at the recycling centers if they have more than can wait for the next collection. REFA collects this fraction at the recycling centre itself and delivers it to the environmental centre in Gerringe or Hasselø together with the household collected plastic. The waste from the two collection methods is therefore not separated. Approximately 2,700 tonnes per year are expected, which translates into approximately 4,500 tonnes during the agreement period including the option. This figure is estimated based on basic figures from the Danish Environmental Protection Agency. Since we haven't collected the fraction yet, it's currently the best bet. The supplier is responsible for transporting and marketing the handled fractions. See the tender documents for further definition of the service.
