The purpose of the Framework Agreement is the provision of main, architectural design and consulting services to the Client on the terms specified in this Framework Agreement and the Design Specific Agreement. The tasks to be acquired are those of the chief designer and project architect related to zoning, property development and construction projects. The Services to be procured will be implemented on a schedule decided by the Subscriber, in which case they may not be evenly distributed over the contract period. The Client does not undertake to order any predefined work from predefined Consultants.

Procurements based on a framework agreement are carried out in accordance with the ps12 (RT10-11108) and architectural design task list ARK 12 (RT 10-11109), which is separately agreed on a project-by-project basis, as well as the general terms and conditions of consultancy KSE 2013, with the exceptions set out in the draft framework agreement (Appendix 3).

The procurement of the design service is not divided into parts. This is justified by the high risk of incompatibility of the components resulting from the possible division and the challenges of the proper execution of the contract.

The working and contractual language is Finnish.

Otaniemi is a culturally and historically significant area, so future assignments may involve cooperation with the National Board of Antiquities and the Alvar Aalto Foundation.

Aalto University is running a development programme for the Otaniemi campus area. The programme includes renovations of existing facilities and the implementation of new buildings for the needs of the university and other uses.
