Restoration of the historic roofs and the walking terrace Scheldt quays.

This assignment is an assignment for works in the sentence art. 2, 18° of the Public Procurement Act.

This contract relates to the following works:

Restoration of the walking terraces and roofs Scheldt quays - Central part

In the coming years, the central part of the Scheldt quays will be redeveloped in function

of the raising of the flood defences as well as for operation under the roofs. For this purpose

a design and engineering office was appointed, more specifically Tractebel, in combination with

Palm bolt. The process was started in the autumn of 2020.

Within the project area there are a number of protected and historically valuable

elements that are retained and integrated into the design plans, such as the

walking terrace and the roofs north of the Steen. The specific mission of this dossier

is the restoration of these 2 constructions and some adjustments for the future

function.
