The district of Wolfenbüttel is announcing the participation competition for the project “Water supply concept in the district of Wolfenbüttel”. The five most suitable candidates will be invited to submit a bid.
Due to climatic developments in recent years, the district of Wolfenbüttel is increasingly confronted with issues relating to the allocation of water rights for groundwater abstraction. This complex of topics, together with the fact that the supply reserves of the groundwater bodies present here that can be used by decree no longer have any capacity with leeway, has prompted the district of Wolfenbüttel to initiate a project that
deliver sustainable concepts and strategies for dealing with groundwater as a resource. In this project, all areas in which groundwater is used or has a decisive influence are to be included:
Public water supply
agriculture
Private sector (industry and commerce)
conservancy
Influence or reciprocal relationship with surface waters
A coordination with key stakeholders has already taken place. They promised to provide the available data required for the project. The project is scheduled to start in 2022, and the project is to be divided into three blocks:
AS-IS analysis (water demand, presentation, infrastructure)
Evaluation/forecast
Development of concepts and strategies
The call for tenders will be conducted as a negotiated procedure with an upstream competition for participation.
First, the participation competition will be held. Only after the funding guideline has been issued and possible funding has been approved, will the measure be specified in terms of content and time and the call for offer will be sent out. See point 5 of the service description.
More information can be found in the tender documents.
Applicants must immediately verify that the tender documents are correct. In order to ensure a proper course of the competition, the deadline for the last submission of bidding questions is set for 21.01.2022. In the event of a later question, a timely answer cannot be guaranteed and does not necessarily lead to an extension of the deadline.
