Decommissioning and surface sealing of the Nauroth landfill site: external examination of geotechnics and plastics technology in the construction of surface waterproofing
External examination of geotechnicsAccording to DIN EN ISO/IEC 17020:2012-07 (conformity assessment - requirements for the operation of various types of bodies that perform inspections), the third-party testing body must act as an inspection body for third-party testing in landfill construction and in accordance with DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025:2005-08, 2nd correction 2007-05 (general requirements for competence by testing and calibration laboratories) as a testing laboratory. The requirements according to BQS 9.1 must be met. The requirements of the relevant BQS in the current version of the LAGA ad hoc working group “Landfill Technology” apply to all mineral components. The current version of the GDA recommendation E 51 (3rd edition 1993, p. 289, revision 12/2016) must also be taken into account.
The required minimum thickness of the materials used must not be undercut at any point. This is to be verified by the FP across the board.
Externally testing plastics technologyAccording to DIN EN ISO/IEC 17020:2012-07 (conformity assessment - requirements for the operation of various types of bodies that perform inspections), the third-party testing body must act as an inspection body for third-party testing in landfill construction and in accordance with DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025:2005-08, 2nd correction 2007-05 (general requirements for competence by testing and calibration laboratories) as a testing laboratory. The requirements of the BAM Directive for qualification requirements and the tasks of a third-party testing body for plastic components in landfill construction must be complied with. The current version of the BAM Directive applies to all geosynthetics, pipes and shafts.
The required minimum thickness of the materials used must not be undercut at any point. This is to be verified by the FP across the board.
